Nizza Monferrato sits in the heart of Barbera country, part of the UNESCO-listed vineyard landscapes of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato. The hills around town give their name to Nizza DOCG, the flagship of Barbera.
Bun Ben Bon is where to taste the food that goes with it. Daniele (the chef) and Daniela run the osteria, which has been listed over the years by L'Espresso's restaurant guide and Slow Food's Osterie d'Italia.
Kids welcome: in summer there is a fenced outdoor play area.
